Retired marketing professor, Ken, was looking to replace his older vehicle. On his wealth manager’s advice, he gave us a call to help him narrow his options and get started on the process.
Q. What frustrates you about the traditional new car buying process?
A: It’s been a while since I bought a new car. I went in for a test drive and a nice guy showed me the car. Then he introduced me to his manager and I felt all kinds of pressure to sign now. I was still window shopping—I wasn’t ready to decide on a car, let alone to deal with all the hassle and negotiations.
Q. How did you decide it was time for a new car?
A: My wife and I spend 4-5 months each year in the Bay Area and we’ve been driving my mom’s old car when we’re here. We decided it made sense to get something that would be safer and more reliable to drive.
Q. What did you like best about working with Cartelligent?
A: I loved having someone extremely knowledgeable who was available over the phone. We wanted a specific car that was hard to find and Bryce kept us informed on a regular basis about the search and our options.
Q. What surprised you about the Cartelligent car buying experience?
A: It was very refreshing working with someone who was independent. We were looking at both the Volkswagen Golf SportWagen and the Toyota Prius v. Bryce helped us understand the features of each vehicle and make an informed decision about which was right for us.
Q. What would you tell a friend about us?
A: We’ve been telling all our friends about our great experience with Cartelligent. The value for the money is fantastic—it was a wonderful experience and it saved us the trauma of haggling with dealerships.
