If you’re in the market for a new electric vehicle (EV) or plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHEV), and you live in California, now is a great time to buy. Whether you’re looking to save money on maintenance and running costs, reduce your carbon footprint, get into the carpool lane, or experience the luxuriously quiet ride that electric vehicles provide, we’re sure that Cartelligent will be able to help find the right green car for you. In order to aid you in your decision, various organizations provide rebates that can make switching to these eco-friendly options even more attractive.

Federal tax credits

The federal IRS tax credit is $7,500 per new EV purchased for use in the U.S. For plugin hybrid vehicles, the size of the tax credit depends on the size of the vehicle and its battery capacity. Many manufacturers will apply this rebate directly to leases; client who purchase will need to apply for the rebate seperately.
