El Cerrito resident, Christine, was ready to upgrade to a new car. After hearing about our service from several friends, she gave us a call to help find the car she wanted at a great price.

Q. What made you realize it was time for a new car?

A: The car I was driving, a Prius, was going on 11 years old. I had just recently had to have quite a bit of work done on it and I knew it was time to start the search for a new car. My son really was responsible for pushing me to do this.

Q. How did you decide on the Toyota RAV4?

A: I originally thought I would stick with the Prius as I loved the gas mileage I got with the 2007 model. However, I am in my early seventies and have some back problems, so knew that getting in and out of a car so low to the ground might present problems in the near future. A couple of friends have a Toyota RAV4 so I took a look at it and liked it. I decided to spend a bit more and get the hybrid – the gas mileage not what I got on the Prius, but a lot better than a non-hybrid.

Q. Why did you decide to use Cartelligent?

A: Some friends had used Cartelligent and they sang the company’s praises.  My son and I did a lot of looking at car lots as I needed to find the right car for my needs.  We would talk to the salesmen who, of course, wanted to make the sale. When I found the exact car I wanted, we tried to work with the salesman, but the offer he made was not to my liking.  So I turned the process over to my son and he called Cartelligent.

Q. What did you like best about working with Cartelligent?

A: The best thing is that Cartelligent beat the offer the lot salesman made and got me 0% interest!  The salesperson had offered to reduce the price of the car by $2000, but then said I would have to pay 3% interest which, over the lifetime of the loan, would equal the $2000 he was “saving” me. It was great going to Walnut Creek to meet with the Cartelligent rep, to complete all the paperwork and pick up the car. I live fairly close to Walnut Creek.  The car I purchased came from Fremont, and it was so nice that I didn’t have to go down there to pick it up.

Q. What surprised you about the Cartelligent car buying experience?

A: I think the ease that working with Cartelligent was a nice surprise.  I still did the research as I wanted to know what I could do on my own before turning it over to Cartelligent.  But once we made the decision to go with Cartelligent, it was super easy and super fast.

Q. What would you tell a friend about us?

A: I have told a number of people about Cartelligent and suggested they give the company a try should they be car shopping.
