Between Volvo’s recent announcement that it will be transitioning to all-electric and hybrid models and the release of the Model 3, alternative fueled vehicles have been in the news lately.

At Cartelligent, we help clients compare all types of new cars; around 14% of our clients currently choose an electric, plug-in, or hybrid vehicle. We thought it would be interesting to look at what they’re choosing across brands and how these break down by type of vehicle.

8. BMW (12.4% Hybrid/EVs)

BMW offers a plug-in hybrid version of the 3 series, 5 series, 7 series, and X5 (shown). The i8 is a plug-in hybrid, and the i3 is available as an all-electric or plug-in hybrid.
