San Leandro resident, Don, was looking to replacing his aging vehicle. He called Cartelligent to help advise him through the process.
Q. How did you decide it was time for a new car?
A: I felt my car was too big for maneuvering safely and comfortably in city traffic, it got low miles per gallon while using 91 octane, and the extended warranty was running out.
Q. How did you choose the Nissan LEAF?
A: I starting looking around at compact cars in my price range on the internet. I then made a few trips to some dealers and did some test driving and I also asked for some general ball park figures for costs.
At some point I discovered that electric cars were in my price range and all the numbers added up so I decided to focus in that direction.
Q. Why did you decide to use Cartelligent?
A: I wasn’t sure if I should lease or buy and if I should choose 2015 or 2016. I started to try and do the analysis myself when I remembered Cartelligent would do all of this for me so I gave them a ring.
Q. What did you like best about working with Cartelligent?
A: I liked that all of the correspondence was done on by email, text or cell while sitting on the couch at home or at my desk at work. I didn’t feel any pressure and I felt relaxed, casual, and comfortable the whole time.
Q. What surprised you about the Cartelligent car buying experience?
A: What surprised me the most was the actual signing when I drove to their office. It was quiet. It was simple. There was no foot traffic. No overhead speakers “Joe, please call service!” There was just me and the Cartelligent representative whom I had already gotten to know so it wasn’t like dealing with a stranger. The papers were already made out and just sitting there on a table. There was nothing to think about and there were no surprises. I signed my name a few times, and that was it. There was a very thorough and pleasant orientation of the new car and all the features from top to bottom. Then I just got in the car and drove away.
