Californians who are in the market for a new car (or just like looking at new cars) have two unique opportunities starting this weekend with the Los Angeles and San Francisco Auto Shows in town. These events can be a fun, low-pressure way to view new models in person and even test drive some vehicles. They can be a great way to narrow your selection list without the stress and time of visiting multiple dealerships.

We’ve put together a quick guide to each show to help you plan your trip.

San Francisco Auto Show

The San Francisco Auto Show is one of the premier events chosen by global automotive manufacturers to showcase their 2018 new-model vehicles, latest technology, and innovation platforms.

With more than 800 vehicles spanning the 1.2 million square foot Moscone Center, consumers can shop and get their questions answered by trained product specialists in an informative, non-pressure, no-sales environment.

When: November 21 – 25, 2018

Hours: 10:00 am to 10:00 pm

Where: Moscone Center, San Francisco. Directions.

How much: $10 for adults, children under 12 are free when accompanied by an adult. Online tickets.

Test drives: Chrysler, Dodge, FIAT, Jaguar, Jeep, Kia, Land Rover, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, RAM, Smart, and Toyota will all be offering test drives of select models at the show. PG&E is also sponsoring Electric Vehicle test drives that will include vehicles from BMW, Chevrolet, Ford, Nissan, Smart, and Volkswagen.

Los Angeles Auto Show

The Los Angeles Auto Show runs from November 30 – December 9, 2018, and is one of the world’s most influential and best-attended auto shows. Hundreds of thousands are expected to attend the event, which will include new car reveals, test drives, the latest in automotive technology and other personal mobility advancements.

When: December 1 – 10, 2017

Hours: Vary by day.

Where: Los Angeles Convention Center, Downtown LA. Directions.

How much: $5 to $20, children under six are free when accompanied by an adult. Online tickets.
