Q. What made you realize it was time for a new car?
A: My 1995 Camry Wagon was rusting away in Pacifica. Washing and waxing were always an uphill battle against the heavy fog we live in. Then, failure to start on wet mornings was making things impossible. Mechanics told me my 196,500-mile wonder was edging toward retirement. I loved the car but its time was slipping away.

I needed more height to help my fiancé’s 93-year-old mom and 88-year-old uncle get into the car for trips to the store and doctors and I also needed a car to fit my fixed retirement income. I had heard great things about the RAV4 and I thought it fit exactly what I had in mind.
