For the past few years, EV automakers and government initiatives have employed different tactics to make new electric cars more attractive to customers. Some of the incentives used to make new electric cars more competitive in pricing are lease rebates, federal tax credits, California state incentives, and free public charging.
Not every automaker has a 2024 charging package to incentivize EV purchases.The electric cars that come with free charging for 2024 include select makes and models from Acura, Audi, BMW, Cadillac, Ford, Genesis, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Toyota, and Volkswagen. Out of these brands, the best 2024 free charging programs are from Audi, BMW, Cadillac, and Genesis.
Below is a list of which electric cars come with free charging based on makes and models between 2022-2024. 2025 charging packages will be announced closer to the official launch date.
Acura
These are the Acura models eligible for either up to $750 charging credit for EVgo and 60kWh with Electrify America, $500 towards an at-home charging station with up $100 charging credit for EVgo and 60kWh with Electrify America, or $250 towards a portable charging kit and $300 charging credit for EVgo and 60kWh with Electrify America.
